Privacy Policy

Every team has that Slack channel — the one where someone posts a LinkedIn link and asks colleagues to go engage with it. It works, but it's noisy, easy to miss, and hard to track.

LinkedIn Team Boost replaces that channel with a lightweight coordination layer. A team member shares a post, the rest of the team gets a quiet notification, and each person chooses whether and when to engage — on their own terms, through their own LinkedIn account, just as they would if they had seen the message in Slack. No credentials are shared. No actions are taken without each member's explicit consent.

1. Who we are

LinkedIn Team Boost is developed by MT Ventures. We build tools that help small teams work better together. For any privacy-related question, reach us at xarabas@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

We collect only what is strictly necessary to coordinate your team:

  • Account information: your name and email address, provided via Google sign-in.
  • Team membership: which teams you belong to and your role within them.
  • Post URLs: the LinkedIn post URL a team member submits for team awareness. No post content, comments, or profile data is stored.
  • Engagement records: whether you chose to engage with a notified post, used solely for team statistics visible to your team.
  • Session tokens: authentication tokens stored locally on your device via chrome.storage.local to keep you signed in between sessions.

3. What we do NOT collect

  • No cookies: the extension does not read, write, or access your browser cookies — including LinkedIn cookies.
  • No LinkedIn credentials: we never ask for or store your LinkedIn password or session.
  • No browsing history: we do not track which pages you visit.
  • No LinkedIn data: we do not scrape, extract, or store any content from LinkedIn beyond the post URL explicitly submitted by a team member.

4. How the extension works

LinkedIn Team Boost is a notification and coordination tool. When a team member submits a LinkedIn post URL through the extension, their teammates receive a notification. Each member then decides independently whether to open the post and interact with it — the same decision they would make if a colleague had shared the link in a group chat.

Members who enable the optional quick-engagement feature allow the extension to open the notified post in a browser tab on their behalf, so they can engage without having to navigate there manually. This feature is entirely opt-in, operates within the member's own LinkedIn session, and requires each member's individual consent to activate. No action is ever taken on a member's account without their knowledge.

5. Data storage and third parties

Your data is stored in Supabase, a secure cloud database provider. Row-level security ensures each user can only access data belonging to their own teams. Authentication is handled via Google OAuth.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party beyond these two infrastructure providers, which are necessary for the service to function.

6. Security

Privacy and security are our priority. All communication between the extension and our servers uses HTTPS. Session tokens are stored locally on your device, are short-lived, and are automatically refreshed. We apply database-level access controls so no user can read or modify another team's data.

7. Your rights and data deletion

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting xarabas@gmail.com. Uninstalling the Chrome extension immediately removes all locally stored session data from your device.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the extension or the web app. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
